Around my precinct, there are lots of pets owners and pet stores.

I was wondering over this pet sitting business and if it's feasible.

Any legal aspects, forms, etc that i need to get started?

You might need a license for a pet boarding service as you are running a business.

You can check with your location if it's necessary.

It is enjoyable working with pets. It's definitely a hobby that makes a living. How marvellous!

hi there!! :D
i started up my own business 7 months ago doing dog walking which is going well. we have a good customer base and plenty regulars.
it started off as part-time exta income but we got so busy i made it a full-time job for myself. We dont advertise as a kennel or boarding but we do do dog sitting which also makes us more money. most of our sitting customers are already regualrs whom we dog walk for.
id definately recommend it, just be prepared for a slow start the 1st couple of months. i enjoy it cos i love dogs n it keeps me fit, and cos i work for myself and choose my own hours.
i dont really push so i make about £120 a week but i could make a lot more if i tried.
we started up by printing off leaflets and business cards and delivering them to houses around us and sticking the cards to car windows at the local tesco. we got an immediate response from a few ppl, so if ur looking for a good business to start up, id certainly go 4 it.

That's a great idea ! I love dogs too - I have 3 - a chihuahua , rottweiler , and a mixed breed . I don't know if you would need a liscense or not - it is kind of like baby sitting - but it would be best to check and make sure . I wish you the best of luck !

My daughter's dog-walker does not have a license to do this - she says it is not needed !!
But she picks up 5 dogs everyday around 10 to 11 am from different homes. She takes them to the park, and then to her home and then to the park again and the drops them back home - 5 days a week.
She earns good money like this - and is very good with the daogs.
Seems a lucrative but hard business.

This sound slike a great way to make your hobby into abusiness. All those who love pets, and have the time - would find it a good way to earn money.
Hopefully the dogs are well trained and do not end up chasing each other or fighting with each other.
