I wrote an article, feel free to read it on ezinearticles.com. I have a list of goals that I have in front of me. Whenever I have achieved one, the satisfaction in itself motivates me. So, if I am ever tempted not to do anything for that day, just a simply reminder of what I have accomplished pushes me onward to the next task.
So, what is your motivation?

Staying motivated can be difficult but it is essential for success.
I just concentrate on why I started out on my own in the world of Internet Businesses in the first place. The reason WHY is your only reason and is personal to you. It's important to keep that in your mind all the time.
My reason why is to improve my life and give my future children choices.
And of course nice cars and houses are a good reason!!

I stay motivated by the desire to put my brain to some good use. I have been working most of my young life, and now that we have closed our business I need to do something to keep occupied.
So I am motivated by the knowledge that if I was not working - I would be a very unhappy person!!!

Motivation is easy to find - if you are running your own business. then it's success depends on your abilities and then you are motivated to do even better.
It has to come from within.

Motivation comes easy for me. I am very stubborn, and this seems to help me stay motivated as well as on the road to success.
I also find that taking frequent breaks, getting up and stretching, or just doing something else for a little while to help me also. Especially when I am feeling frustrated. Then later I can come back and look at it with a clear mind. ;)

initially, my motivation stemed from the personal success we were experiencing. The monthly checks was my motivation. Then the excitement of my team and their success motivated me. Once I was set in our own success, the motivation came from my team's success and the excitement they exhibited. Great question!!!!!!!

I currently hold a full time job outside the home. I'm gradually building my income to a point where I don't need the outside work. Each success edges me closer to the goal. Success motivates me.

Knowing that my members will be getting "immediate results" and knowing that they will soon be doing what I'm doing (not being able to shut-up about this product & their results) is so motivating and inspiring to me. I feel truly blessed in having the opportunity to make a difference in the health and wealth of others. ;)

What's important to me, and also what can keep just about everyone motivated is to reflect everyday on what you are trying to accomplish, then take 5-10 minutes to imagine yourself already having reached your goals. This powerful visualisation/manifestation technique keeps you moving in the right direction and renews much needed energy everyday to continue working towards your goals. It has always worked for me and continues to do so

Just to add to my previous post, do a search for a video called THE SECRET and try to get your hands on it. By far the most powerful motivational video i have ever seen

You are so right. This is a wonderful movie (the book is good too). I use it in my trainings. Affiliatewealth, I wish I could read more about you but for some reason everytime I click under your profie it gives me an error so I never get to learn more about everyone. Does anyone else have this problem?
P.S. your link says it's temporarily unavailable.

I simply remember what I did BEFORE I am where I am today - really stunk waking up to that alarm clock every day, getting told what to do...
That's instant, every second motivation for me...

Hello everyone
I find as long as your doing something you enjoy then motivation is easy. If your home business is a hobby of yours it certainly makes it easier. It took me a while to find my niche but I've found it and enjoy it immensely. If your doing something that you don't get enjoyment out of then there is a bigger risk of failure.
Good Luck to all.

To stay motivated, it's difficult.
But i always tell myself, i want to earn money from my home comfortably. I don't want to report to work.
That's how i stay motivated.

My motivations run around me all day long! I have four of them. They are all under five feet tall and are at varying stages of dependency. I want great things for them, and they are the constant reminder of why I MUST be successful at what I do. I know everyone doesn't have such tangible reminders, but if you just put your reminders around you, real work can still be accomplished when you feel yourself wanting to take too many breaks. Don't get me wrong! Breaks are the BIGGEST part of my travel business, but I realize that I still do have to work to play.:p

I agree with what has been said before - to keep being motivated it is critical to know what your reasons were for starting your home business, your "why" and to keep it in front of you all the time.
One of my biggest motivations is not wanting to go back to having a J-O-B! Seriously! But also, wanting to contribute, to make a difference, in some meaningful way to people is one of my biggest "why's".

My motivation? Getting rid of my JOB! Spending time with my family!
But another motivation secret I found, oddly enough through NaNoWriMo, is telling others what I'm going to do and helping others along the way. There's something about helping other to get to where you are (or are trying to go) that not only brings satisfaction, but can help you reach your goal.

My motivation is to ease my pain. I have found that being off for the summer has eased the back pain quite a bit. With this motivation I am trying to learn as much as I can within a short time period in internet marketing. UGH!! Now if I can just get my brain to sponge up a little more............

its' actually easy,
i see any any unsuccessful old man who still has to work, and think to myself, i don't want to turn 70 and still work coz i was not good enough when i was young.
always try to be better.
wanting more money is not greed, its what keeps the life going, i only see the ones who don't make any money, and are constantly looking for freebies or charity, or loans saying the ones who make money are greedy.

God has gifted us to be born with a third eye (alias aka eye of providence, pineal gland or eye inside the pyramid). It is the picture on the dollar bill. God is able to radiate light inside our head to illuminate our mind with new ideas.
I have trusted my faith that God will reveal to me how to earn my livelihood through a self-employment venture that he has created for me to see.
This knowledge of my eye of providence is how I have stayed motivated!

Hello,
What keeps me motivated? Let me relate a something that happened to me earlier this year. Sorry for the length of it.
I have worked the past 17 years fulltime for a school district and feel fortunate to work with some really great people, however back in March of this year while the students were on spring break, the main school administrators had a meeting with the maintenance crew, which I am a part of.
I/we should have known something was up, because all of the head desicion makers were present in that meeting.
They started off the meeting by telling us how great of a job we were doing keeping the school buildings clean and grounds looking good. And then they did something I had never witnessed them doing before in a meeting, my 17 years of working there.
They went around the room and had everyone give their name and state how many years they had been working in the district.
Well, weren't we a proud bunch. We had some who'd been working there for 27, 20, 15, 10 years, and a few for 1 year or less.
The room was all smiles. Again, the administrators told us how good of a job we'd been doing.
And then they dropped the bomb.
We were told that our postions were going to be outsourced. YOU COULD HAVE HEARD A FLEA FART in the room it got so quiet.
I felt like a virgin that had been taken out on a first date, wined and dined, married the next day and then told to work the streets.
I realize the world economies are changing, but, I would have never thought my job in a school district would be in jepordy.
Just goes to show you, no job is safe in today's economy.
So, I have to stay motivated. I now know a job is only as secure as the people in charge find a need ($$$$) for you.

Listening to a good audiobook gets me going. eg. Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy.
It can make you feel bad if you are not achieving your goals.
Just keep going and keep the faith.
Best,

This is a very unfortunate situation.
I stay motivated with prayers to ease my soul. I also recommend to read the book "The Secret." I have this book by my side at all times.

I stay motivated by nature. I'm very dedicated and I keep focus most of the time which I think it's a good quality. Also the results keep my efforts improving.

Create a visual and emotional image of what you want:
Writing your goals down is an essential tool but not always enough to keep focused. Writing your goals down and having a visual image of you completing that goal adds fuel to the motivational fire. Writing goals down, having a visual image of your completed goal AND connecting this image with your emotions is the power of 3 that will ensure your motivation remains high.

When I consider the alternative, it's easy to get motivated.
No job, no money, no fun!!!
That is so important to have a really BIG why fro any under taking. Your why will keep you motivated and moving forward

I am motivated by the small successes that I accomplish and by the strong will to get out of current situation.
Also - my dream is to work from home full time ..
