I personally pay 19.99$ a month for hosting for 50 sites. However, the company I use is very reliable and painless to deal with as far as customer service goes.

I am sure there are cheaper options out there. But I am happy with the one that I use.

I pay $4.95 per month for an unlimited number of sites through webspawner. They are also all interlinked on my webspawner home page. The templates are already finished, which a much more painless process than trying to create an entire background through paint shop pro. :)

These days $5 a month is average, and you'll be able to host more than just a small site.
