I saw the closed thread about surveys. I have been a member of some survey sites, but never earned enough from them. Most of the surveys are long winded and quite boring. I have not been able to see how people aern good money from them.

well.. the best one i'v found so far is Cashcrate. It has 2 levels of referrals, and has the higest GPT referral payout percentage. The surveys on it arn't that long and theres other offers available to do. Payout is $10, earn 20% of what your referrals make and 10% of what their referrals make. You'll also receive a $3.00 bonus for each referral who meets the $10 minimum payout You can view my blog (http://www.thisreallypays.blogspot.com) for more info if your interested.:)

Surveys/GPT sites were all I used to do for good income. I do a few things now and make tons from home. I have a website about everything I do too. Cashcrate is the best, followed by Gangster Greed.
And for any Australians out there Pureprofile and Email Cash are pretty good.

In my experience, they are a waste of time, and money if you pay to access a surveys database.

The most I got from a survey was Ģ1 (about $2). If you did hundreds of these in a month (which you can't because they control how many you can do) you could make an OK amount of money.

I didn't earn a penny doing surveys. The site i was with said i needed to accumulate 2500 market points before i could receive money for the surveys. Sometimes when they send you a survey, you don't even qualify to take the survey. I was only averaging about 100 market points per week so i gave up. Who knows what they would have thrown at me after i did eventually hit the 2500 point mark. I figured it was too much aggravation to spend all that time doing surveys to have them throw me a curve ball when i'm supposed to start cashing in.

I joined onlinebestsurveys a few weeks ago and so far I havenīt made anything at all. I live in Estonia so I can not join every survey site. In my opinion it is a scam:mad:

I don't think they are a waste of time at all. I've been making about $100 a month. You should NEVER pay to join one of these sites. As with anything, it depends on how much effort you put into it. :)

I too had joined a survey site and had not made any money, oops take that back, I made roughly around $20. A few dollars here and a few dollars there.....I earned a lot of points like what kpm2319 was saying, but.......
I am not sure if it matters what age bracket you are in too. But it seemed I was not eligible because of my age. Does anyone know if this plays a part?

I don't do many surveys these days. When I started online I signed up to about 100 sites - big mistake. It was a waste of time.
There are a few that are good, though, if it is something you really want to do.
As mentioned,
In Australia...
Email Cash
Pureprofile
Opinion Outpost
In the US...
My Points
Send Earnings
NFO MySurvey.com
ACOP
ECN Research
...are some of the better ones. Don't pay some company for a list of good sites. They just give you a huge list of good and bad that you'll have to sort through the hard way. They make money from you by selling you the list and then from the survey sites when you sign up. They generally don't care if the site is legit or not.
There are enough forums and places online to find out for free which ones really do pay if you take the time to look around.
I've kept up with a couple of the survey sites, but they really aren't worth my time when I can spend more time on building and developing my web sites. It's much more cost effective in the long run.
Blessings,
Angie

I agree, paid surveys are a total waste of time. I have been a member of a few sites in the past but they just dont send enough surveys your way. They are also mostly based on demographics ie. age, gender, marital status, ethnicity, income, living situation etc. So you find yourself excluded from most surveys.
Its fine as a hobby but then there are the really long surveys that pay half nothing, or else pay you with coupons instead of real cash. Im getting annoyed just thinking of all the wasted hours i spent on surveys. :(
