Reciprocal links

One of the biggest hurdles I have is getting good reciprocal links.

Does anyone use linking software like links manager?

I really don't understand why its so difficult to get other site owners to swap links.

Surely they know that good incoming links improves their SE ranking.

In order to make people want to swap links with you, your site must have some good traffic. Else, it's hard for other sites with better traffic to link to you. They might feel they are on the losing end.

You can start with link directories.
Do a 1 way linking to improve your traffic.

Once you have some traffic, it is easy for you to approach other for link swapping.
