I enjoy playing my guitar, that is when I can find time to play it. Because I work so much and have so many other responsibilities; I have not had much time to play my guitar. In fact, my guitar playing has gotten rusty. To try and motivate myself back into playing my guitar, I recently purchased an EZAG guitar. For those who don't know what this is; it is a learning guitar. You never have to tune it and you play it like any other guitar. You can download midi files into it and learn to play songs on it using the midi file. You can also enable the frets to light up to indicate the notes you want to play; thereby, teaching you how to play different songs on it. When I received my EZAG, I was excited. I bought the cables that would allow me to store midi files into it from my computer. The software to do this is available on the EZAG website. Well, to make a long story short, I played with it for about a week or two and then no more. It too is just sitting in my closet along with my other 2 guitars. I want to buy an electric guitar, but it would probably end up like all my other guitars. Oh well...
well, don't hesitate too much, just play your guitar and keep playing the great music. I was thinking too on playing it but first i'll have to learn. Of course as you said there's no time. But i will not give it up.

I don't plan on giving up my guitar playing. This is in part why I am starting my own work at home business. I am a software engineer, so I am always under the gun at work. So, with my job and my work at home business, I have two full-time businesses. When I quit my job, that means I'll have just one job and then I'll have more time to do some things I love to do.

One must enjoy your life while working hard.
All work no play, make Jack a dull boy.

Why don't you start a website on guitars or guitar playing. That could start you on a successful business that would free you up to play your guitar. It is said, if you do something you love, success will come!:)

I think that would be a great idea. I seen a website where a guy is selling memberships to his website in which he gives video tutorials on learning how to play the guitar.

Ive been not practicing as much as I want to, and its bugging me. I understand that forcing myself to play is just not going to do anything, but I want to keep my muscles in shape so when I do sit down to play, Im not tense and sloppy. I try to let my practice slide for a maximum of two days. But Ive felt not as much motivation to play in the past two weeks or so. Would just sitting down and playing without warming up or anything work? Or should I just practice when I want to without forcing anything.
It bothers me so much because if Im not playing up to my standards, I tend to feel like shit.
