Post card style of direct mail

A friend recently told me about post card direct mail. I am familiar with the marketing stratgies of direct mail, but I have not heard of this one. I used to send materials using priority mail envelopes that contained a video, some samples, a cover sheet and some other information along with my business card to people, but I like the idea of just sending post cards. I know you can buy leads from services and these leads can be catagorized into different areas, like health, business, etc., but many of lead services can be very expensive. Can anyone recommend a lead service that is inexpensive that they know either you or someone else you know has received some good results? Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Lawren, I read your post about post card marketing.
thats what i have been doing for awhile now with great results as far as lead lists go i understand your concern with price and what not. I tell ya what if you read this send me an email and i can tell you exactly how i send my post cards with out buying leads.

In fact David, I have been applying your method today. I created some post cards of my own based on an advertit my business currently is using.

I will let both of you know how it goes. As it stands now, I have gotten behind in sending postcards. I created 200 more and have not had time to send them out.

I will get them done this weekend. I got behind because I have been trying to get my taxes together. I am almost finished. I have one last detail to work on regarding my real estate investment business.

But, I will let you know.
