Is anyone really having success at any of this stuff? I've been trying to market 4 different opportunities/products for over a month and have not generated one single penny!!

Can someone PLEASE tell me what I'm doing wrong? I've been doing everything I come across and trying everything I find that's recommended but with no success! Perhaps it's really true that you need to have money to make money? Cause I'm flat broke and can't afford to pay for my marketing and such just yet...of course if I ever start seeing profit I could THEN pay to market...but how the heck do you get started?

back in the day when I was actually employed to build a MLM downline for a new company we ran into one MAJOR obsticle...

MLM Junkies ... instead of committing to one program - they broke their time up between several ...

by not focusing on just one they were not able to dedicate enough time on any of them - so none of them worked very well if at all!

What we were doing had a lot of money behind it.

It was an advertising blitz coupled with Neurolinguistic training.

First, you have to find your niche. Once you've found that, I would suggest since you don't have a lot of money, you create a Squidoo lens, weebly website, blogger blog or wordpress blog about your niche and start using some Bum Marketing (just google bum marketing and sign up for the free ecourse). A great thing to do is write articles...lots and lots of articles about your niche. I'm talking about as many as you can EVERYDAY! Stay focused! So many people go off on a tangent (myself included) everytime they run across an opportunity where they think they can make money. Don't give in to the urge...stay FOCUSED!!!! You will get there! Rome wasn't built in a day. ;)

Please don't expected to see the result within 30 days. Money earned from Internet is accumulating. Once the money start rolling in, you will be like this :D

Be patient and persistent of what you are doing. If you feel that the marketing methods didn't work for you, check around if other are also using the same marketing methods as you. Find out from them.

Best of luck to you! :)

I strongly agree with you cherie27, I think in every business you really need to wait... Nobody has an overnight success over business... ;) Please don't expected to see the result within 30 days. Money earned from Internet is accumulating. Once the money start rolling in, you will be like this :D

I know where the original poster is coming from. I have had the framework in place to buld an affiliate marketing business for almost a year now and have accomplished precisely 0. Mostly that is because I haven't put any time into promotion of the products i have selected. I am however trying now and am going to have to look and see how many products I have going on. I am seriously leaning towards going almost exclusive lawn and garden products but am having a somewhat hard time finding the right places to promote such products.

I do however intend to keep at it this time and would encourage Mike, our origional poster to do the same, though it would probably be a good idea to try and focus at least on one type of product.

Stick with one program that you have done your research on.Dont just jump right in, you wouldnt rent office space, hire employees, and invest a ton of money without doing the research on the business you want to start would you? I know i certainly wouldnt.

Online business is the same as in the real world, its work.

I have been at this for about 2 months advertising 3 programs about 4-6 hours a day.

Im making a tiny profit over what im spending. At the rate im going i expect to make maybe a few hundred bucks a month extra consistently.

Getting rich quick is for the people who are already rich and have the money to spend on advertising, they just dont tell you that, or else you wouldnt even bother buying their program.

Most of the people have a tendency to go and sign up to all the programs they can find and then expect to make money off them.

it never works that way.

internet job is like a real life job, you actually have to do work to earn, there is no get rich quick scheme in the world, if there were, world would have been rich long ago. and you would still have been crying to get more rich.

startup one program, and stick to it, soon it will start and start to make you money, the main diff between that type of work is that they are residual that is - they make money for you for a long time , unlike real life jobs in which you earn only till the time you work.

i am earning well in data entry work, but i am looking to diversity that's it.

Most brick and mortar business take up to 2 years to show a profit.

I have read it can take 6 mos or more to start making some money. Most people give up WAY before then.

Do you have a blog or website? If you hang in there, your site will get 'age' and you'll start seeing better results.

I dont know what your trying to sell/promote, but there are MANY free advertising avenues you can take. I've personally had success with craigslist and squidoo. Here's a FREE PACKAGE (http://www.makingitontheweb.com) that will teach you to effectively use squidoo.

Here's a FREE VIDEO COURSE (http://www.chrisfarrellmembership.com/hg/?a=XWMFxiNMG1&p=2) that covers everything you can possibly need to know about running a successful web business.

Just for the record, I'm not pushing any affiliate companies, the squidoo package site is mine, and obviously I'm not making a commission on a free video course.
Good luck,

Vincent

Yes I make decent money with websites and SEO, but it took me a couple of years to figure it all out and start earning good money. At around 18 months I nearly gave up as I was not going anywhere, but I stuck with it and 6 months later my income has increased ten fold.

Yep, takes lots of time, usually months. But you have to keep working steadily and to have some sort of plan (something written as a to do for each day or each week so you can see your progress) or its easy to get really discouraged. And there are many, many pieces of free information available on the little components of any internet money making project tha are worth studying.

There are also teams available to help that have real time chat, videos, ebooks and other stuff they offer for free just to encourage you and even hands-on technical help. Once I've liked is traveldynasty.com, and another is a site called potpiegirl.com.

I'd love to hear about what you're working on and maybe chat with you. On Skype I'm cowgirlup33, and my email is kegsummer@yahoo.com.

Don't give up.

There is tons of marketing possibilities out there ! Ypu dont need any money to start your affiliate marketing. The only thing you must have is patience. if you have this the money is going to "roll in" ;) Not directly of course, but after a while.

It took me several months to make a dime. If you look at alot of the gurus out there, they were one step from quitting until they found something that worked. Do not make the mistake of spreading yourself too thin and not staying with any one thing long enough.

Stick with it!

Stick to one niche and get that off the ground first,, keep driving the traffic to that site until you see sales,,when you are happy with that one then rinse and repeat.. taking on too much together will only lead to information overload!! good luck and have patience!!

I have had the best traffic with articles and videos, but you have to be able to do the proper keyword research for best results, enjoy your business. Remember you must have a passion for what you are doing in order to be very successful. Take Care.

Here are the 4 main reasons people don't have success online:

1. Lack of focus
2. Lack of belief in themselves
3. Lack of marketing and business skills
4. Lack of consistent business-building actions

If you lack just one of those above you're going to not make the kind of money you want and you're gonna struggle.

Great thing is that it's all fixable.

Find out what area is giving you the most problem and spend sufficient time building up that area and then go on to the next one and so forth.

Everyone can be successful online...if they're willing to put the efforts and do what it takes to succeed.

Thanks for speaking up. Your frustration is felt by millions and millions of people. Personally, I'm always skeptical of those get rich quick schemes. There are so many of those goofy hypes out there in cyberspace that I don't even pay attention to them anymore. Have you tried focusing on offers that seem realistic and down to earth. Something that actually helps you market a skill or interest you already have. I solved my work-at-home problems by starting an online tutoring business with the help of the team at Tutorfi.com. I'm already a math teacher, but I need lots of help and advice to promote the specific skills I'm already confident of. Of course teaching is not for everyone, but the trick is to examine your own talents and go with that. My niece just started doing medical transcription online from home. She received her training online and works for an established online business. She may someday open her own business. Also, be patient. Success could take a little time. Here's to your courage to keep trying, and to your ultimate success and prosperity, JoLynn Colbert

Be in touch with people if you really want to succeed. It is easy to forget that. no matter which business you are in. You have to gain trust by affiliates/customers in order to get repeat business.
