Hi,
I am relatively new to this board. I have been researching opportunties for a while, but am tired of all the hype and scams. I have a heavy educational background in mathematics and statistics (masters in both), and was wondering if anyone has any idea if it is possible to find any kind of work from home opportunity, or business opportunity that would utilize my background. Thank you in advance for any help, and I look forward to getting to know some of you!

Start a tutor blog for mathematics and statistics. Blogging is free to do. RSS feeds that people can subscribe to your blog (timely updated material.) RSS feeds can be read through a reader and it is syndicated headlines similar to broadcasting text to let others know you have a new poat. Post on a blog as often as time permits you. Set up a schedule around your day job and free time. If you have two hours to running a work at home business. Teach others by video, audio podcast and text in explaining all about mathematics to what they can't understand and want to comprehend. You can host videos at You Tube for free. Podcasts can be uploaded at audio podcast sites or even your own blog host site. Text would be at your blog host site. Images or photos would be uploaded at your blog host site. In posting, talk about why math is important part of life or why you choose to study math. Why math is important in sports ie. baseball statistics? How important it is to measure while cooking? Why math is important in stockbroke business? If someone is in construction, why they need to know math. Someone just getting out in the field of any math related business needs some help. If someone needs a personal math tutor, then charge for it. Create a fee for your service per problem or for every 3 problems, then get the 4th one at no cost. Create a tutor subscribtion pay button for tutor math problem solving and you can interact from anywhere in the world helping others.

The key is to "Create a business for a solution for someone else's needs." You can create an ebook on tutor math or statistic and offer that. Make it fun and interesting to keep your audience wanting more. Find a place that offers products and affiliate program that you can offer your audience, ie. math book stories, math for dummies, materials needed for math, math games, everything math. You can promote books on the sujects which can also help them and use (pay per click ads) ppc ads to add to your work at home niche business. Add math games printables (ie. math crossword puzzles,connect to dot, word math puzzles etc...) to download. Offer a contest to that have to do with math, ie. figure these math problems out and win an award (create a ribbon or give award prizes). Invest a little for prizes or find free type of prizes. Sell math tees with catchy slogans.

Find your targeted audience that wants your service, like accountants, students of all ages, other math teachers, sports statistics, out in the field workers, construction workers, bankers, cooks, stockbrokers, etc...You have quite a good size audience. Think outside the box, the who, what, when, where and why uses of math? Write about it in small paragraphs. Add your affiliate resources in between your paragraphs. Add your references of where you found your info. Create articles and submit them to an article site for free traffic. Blog directories are a great place for more free traffic. Having knowledge in these fields can be a plus for you. You can put a resource link of where they can verify that you are whom you say you are or what you have as a professional teacher. Put resource links up to sites that offer information about education. Find fundraisers to help your business. Involve your school or schools.

There's alot that you can do as far as coming up with cool ideas. You can research before hand to make sure you're organized so you can make your online work at home business a success and easy running smoothly.
