People tend to perceive the internet as an arena where we don't have to deal with people. But the truth of the matter is that dealing with people is probably one of the most important aspects about having a business. Eventhough this is the internet, as business owners we need to focus on building relationship with people on the internet.

Internet Marketing is about building relationships with people. You want to establish a reputation on the internet that you are someone that can be trusted. You want people to want to stay and work with you or buy from you.

Without establishing relationships, you will always have to look for new customers or associates. It is easier to work with existing customers or associates than to look for new ones. If your customers or associates like the service they are getting from you, then they are also more likely to recommend your business to others. This is what we want; less work, but more customers or associates.

Therefore, anytime you are working with others remember that you want to build a relationship that encompasses trust and friendship. If you do this, then you will find yourself having customers or associates for life.

I agree that good relationships are key.

One thing that I have found is that most of your income comes from repeat business, not one-offs.

To get that, you absolutley must have mutual trust and respect. Someone is simply not going to keep forking out money for goods or services if it's not worth their while to do so.

So my attitude now is not to get as many clients as possible, (ie, to make heaps of money quickly) but to get some good, regular clients who will keep using my services as long as I offer them.

Obviously this takes longer. But I believe it's the best policy in the long run.

Thank you Coco for you kind words.

Matthemattrix, you are correct.

As a way of expounding upon the subject of building relationships in business, here is something I have mentioned before and I truly believe in.

I believe one should keep in mind when dealing with others who have joined you in your business or purchased one of your products is, people will only stay around when they feel that their needs are being met. Your business is not about you, but about those you serve, which are your customers and your business associates.

I feel if you can't build Relationships with your team or customers you will fail people need to feel the realness some how. It dose nottake much time to get to know them ask how many kids they have. Why they want to work at home . What are the goals they are shoting for. Also tell them your story also.
