I am not sure if I mentioned this before, but I happen to be a big gaming fan.
Anyone else here into gaming at all, on console or the P.C? :)

I wasn't a fan of video games before until my cousins introduced me to Halo. Now I'm an addict..i think:)
I certainly love splinter cell. So far i've played halo, splinter cell (not all of them), gears of war, ghost recon and bioshock. Bioshock was a pain. I literally wished the game would be over soon. When it did, i breathe a sigh of relief. It wasn't bad just too long. The guy tricked me though. I should have known that the sisters should have been saved.

When I was growing up, I loved playing video games. In fact, I would have loved to have learned how to get into making them. Now, I'm learning things with 3d graphics and such that I wished I had learned, or had access to, 15 to 20 years ago :D
Now, I don't play them as often as I used to, but when I do, it is usually on the PC. I haven't had a console game in years.
But I do still have a functioning Nintendo Gameboy. The original. Monochrome screen and gunmetal grey casing. ;) Still works, too, despite having been through a fire. I have a PS2, but I don't really have many games for it and I don't play it very much.

I like playing video game too. I have PlayStaion 1, which now not playing anymore, PlayStation 2, which is my favorite now. Sometimes I play Gameboy Advance, but not as often as PlayStation 2. Just take it when I'm not home.

I used to be into video games more when I was younger. I still like to play them, especially sports or fantasy themed ones, but I don't have as much time to do so anymore. Maybe in a couple of years when my kids are older, I'll be able to get back into them and enjoy them.
Really, I first got interested in programming years ago because I wanted to learn how to do video games. I never did learn that, though. Recently, I've been learning all the things I wanted to learn about 15 to 20 years ago! If only I'd had access to what I'm learning then, things might have turned out very differently for me.

I feel exactly the same way. I did programming back in college like cobol and pascal. If i had kept update to the new programmings since back then, i would have probably making video games now and making money. But such is life..can't cry over spilt milk..but sometimes i want to smack myself upside the head. Especially now that i'm having ideas and lack the tools to implement them because of little knowledge of programming. And it burns me especially when i know i'm not the only one who has the same ideas.

Gaming is how I entertain myself. I watch TV so rarely its not even funny. TV actually anoys the heck out of me these days since the only ads I ever see are for... ahm... male enhancement shale we say? All I need is girlfriend for that, but I digress.
I mostly run on the PC and recently was delighted to learn that an old game I used to plat, called Earth and Beyond, is now a functional emulator so finally after five years I can go flying around the solar system.
I am also trying to learn how to program... hmm... I should look for affiliate programing books I think, and can say this that if you ever knew how to code even a little bit it should be pretty easy to get back up to speed. When I get done with my SAMs teach yourself to Program in 24 hours, book I plan to offer it to my dad so he can brush up. Apparently there is always a need for new coders and it is definitely one of those jobs you can do from home.

i have played games on almost all the consoles and pc,
and my opinion - if you want to play games, play it on consoles only
best gamesplay games are on ps2
best graphics games are on ps3
best network multiplayer games are on xbox and xbox 360
best games for kids are on ps1
best games for health is nintendo wii
pc is for work, NOT for games, highly irritating.

Once in a while, I play the Wii with my kids. However, I am not a big fan of video games. I quickly get bored or annoyed if I can't make it to the next level.

I'm not into video games, but my oldest is. I remember games like tetris and mario. Now they have all these violent and graphic games. I can't stand it. So mommy makes sure he only gets age appropriate ones. Be careful cause sometimes they say its okay for a certain age but really it should be for adults. Who ever makes the ratings needs a spanking! :)

Yes, I have to agree some games are really too violent and graphic for kids too young to not have an affect on them. My youngest is now 20 and still enjoys playing several different video war strategy type games, and loves to play with others online. I know he like Heroes in the latest version for one.
I don't play video games too often, but when I do... Mahjong, backgammon, and hearts is a lot of fun.

I was a big MMORPG guy for the last 4 years (DAoC and WOW). But now in my spare time I am trying to make some extra cash instead of spend it!

I am! I've been a fan of games since I was little. I prefer consoles because I don't have a computer with enough space for PC games. I love the PS3 and Wii. I like the 360 but I suffered that E74 error thing twice and had to get new systems (good thing there's warranties) and it bothered me that within 2 years I had to get 2 new systems. So I kinda died down on the 360. Also I had a sticky button problem with the 360 controllers. I've spent more and had more issues with my 360 than my other systems.
