My two sons are both in school and I am very interested in working from home. Can someone please tell me about a legit work at home opportunity. I would like home assembly but, I am interested in other fields too. All info appreciated.

I'm afraid I have NEVER heard of one of the home assembly jobs that was NOT a scam. Please be very careful with them.

It is difficult to find legitimate home 'jobs.' You can sometimes find work as an answering service, but the pay is really poor and the work is not always steady from what I understand.

If you want a home 'job' you will probably be best served to check with local businesses in your area. You may be able to find some work as a telecommuter. Maybe you could go in one day a week or a couple of days a month. It doesn't hurt to ask. All they can do is say no. :)

If you are looking for an 'opportunity' instead of a 'job' you have a lot more options. There are many home based business opportunities available. The majority of them take some type of start up fee.

One of the easiest ones to start is affiliate marketing. That is when you learn to promote products or services online for other companies and then earn a commission on the sales you generate. This is where I started and I really enjoy it.

You can write articles to promote the desired products or services, but I've found that building a niche topic website around a particular subject or theme is the best way to go for long term growth and business success. You can look at my sites to see what I mean.

There is also direct marketing/multi-level marketing, but usually you have to make a commitment to purchase so much product yourself each month in order to get your earned commissions.

Although I do this type of marketing as well, I don't recommend you start into that type of commitment until you have a good website already established with steady visitors and enough income coming in to cover the costs of your own product purchases.

You'll find some free books and resources on my site that will help you get a better understanding of how to go about online marketing if that is your interest.

I hope you'll find something that suits you.

Blessings,
Angie
