I'm interested in free classifieds as well, my question is : Do they work?

doesn't everyone and their uncle use them? Isn't all traffic on these free sites other people placing ads on them?

I would love to use them if they work, but....

Check out USFreeAds.com. They have both paid and free classified services you can use. The paid version is better because you can create much nicer adds, but the free version looks ok too - although I've only used the paid version.
