I have seen a lot of posts here about MLM's, which I have absolutely no interest in so please don't start telling me about the great opportunity you have for me and how I can earn $15,000 a month if I pay someone $699 to get started. No offense intended to you MLM guys, but there are too many scams to know who to trust.
Anyway, I have a few real ideas for a business and need some advise about getting started. Is this forum the right place to do that or should I be posting else where?

I would look for a small business forum, i.e. one that has forums on things like accountancy, finance, law, marketing.... the full range of stuff you need for an offline business.

Depends. If your "real" business is operated online, then there are a number of places you can get on-line help. If not, and your real business has a physical location and products, a website, and you plan to advertise on the internet, you can get help here as well as other on-line forums.
Folks here tend to be very well versed in on-line advertising and marketing, especially what work and what doesn't.
I'd love the hear about some of your business ideas. On Skype I'm cowgirlup33, and my email is kegsummer@yahoo.com
