There are lots of good affiliate sites. What is your site about? There are affiliates specifically for sites about health and about travel, for instance.

I am tired of ordering different products and different services that don't do me any good; if I don't even know what a html is Or a url is? I have stuck with services and products for a month and if it doesn't produce a penny..why should I promote it anymore. This is a big problem with the net and I am just tired of it..tired..tired..

I have been trying to promote a product from clickbank and I am using google adwords; But google keeps spitting out my display url because its not matching up with the destination url. Well, the destination url consists of letters and numbers and at the end of it is clickbank.net. What am I suppose to do? I don't understand what I am doing wrong? If. the destination url is more than 25 characters; what am I suppose to put on the display ad. I used the products name and that didn't work..

Hi Shena,
I know it can be tuff, get it out of your mind that it will be easy. If
you prepare yourself for hard work you have a much better chance.
Heres a 100% FREE video course (http://www.chrisfarrellmembership.com/hg/?a=XWMFxiNMG1&p=2) to help you with the technical stuff.
It's a very easy to follow course, and it's FREE.
Now for adwords, you have to cloak your link. You can make an affiliate link say something else, but still get you credit at your affiliate company. Google link cloaking, or url cloak.
If you search, you may even find free cloaking software.
This package (http://earning-on-the-web.com/completewebbusiness.html) has cloaking software.
One more thing, I wouldn't make adwords my first stop, just sending traffic to a sales page rarely works.
Good luck,
Vincent

It sounds like you jumped into marketing without having acquired the basic knowledge on how to do so. There are lots of free resources or paid resources that can help you learn how to market effectively.
I think you need to give yourself some time to learn about marketing. You state that you do not know what html or a url is. This is very basic info. Don't be discouraged - take this opportunity to learn.

When you are using the same page all the other affiliates use - Google does not like that in the adwords. You are better off setting up your own landing page. Then buy a cheap domain name and forward it to your affiliate page - hopefully the one that you constructed yourself. But remember, don't buy a domain name that will be longer than this example - 12345677777777777777.com This is the maximum that will fit in a google adword.
And depending on what your competition is, google adwords can be very expensive if Google decides that your landing page/website is not high quality or relevant to the keywords you are using. And if the product you are promoting has a lot of competition, you could find your adword on page 10 or 20 and very few people go past the first few pages when they search for something.....unless you have a landing page that Google sees as being highly relevant. But if what you are promoting is huge competition, you might be better off looking for a less competitive product.
I recommend learning as much as you can about internet marketing because it is apparent that you were eager to start out and make money but did not learn the basics first. There is a lot to learn and there is so much knowledge available online.
Don't be discouraged. There is a reason you are doing this so don't lose sight of the reasons why you want to make money online.
I am looking into affiliate marketing currently and am conscerned with what is legal and what is not. I do want to make money online and affiliate marketing looks like one way to get there, but I do not want to do anything illegal in the process.
