Do you involve your family in your work? If so, how?

Let me tell you a bit of mine. I let my kids lick envelopes, and put "stickers" onto them.

As the post office is just not too far away, they help by bring the stack of envelopes out and post them. But that comes with a little rate... I have to give them a bit pocket money for chocolate muffins.

How about you?

I have started letting my 7 year old type articles for me. She is getting quite good.
One thing about family assistance, they really can't quit you!

Hahaha. Very true. They certainly can't quit! When my kid whines about being lazy of helping me to post some mails, I always have something to tempt them to do it for me. Chocolate muffins and another apple pie? hahahaa. Sometimes i even suspect they did that on purpose to gain an extra goodie from me. But i am fine with it. ;)

How do you reward your kid?

Mine are getting major reward all weekend long. I am playing chauffeur, cupcake baker, and more. They have more activities planned for this weekend. Not only Halloween parties and trick or treating, but b-day parties, karate, pumpkin carving contests. Whew!!
I'd hate to be the teachers at school on Monday. They will have all hands full!

They deserve it though. They help quite a bit with moms work.

Sometimes they do need to feel a bit useful especially when they see us getting busy with work. They will try to help out. Other times, they make a mess of everything.

You're right Tengkoi, what i love about working from home is that you can still see them growing and you don't miss out on those special moments....... ;)

I raise & home school my 3 teenaged brothers, (the oldest of whom is 15 years younger than me) and they help me with everything I do. All 3 of them love to cook, so they take turns (and sometimes argue over who gets to cook what---they all want to doing the cooking!) and that helps out lots. The youngest helps with average things around the house, getting the pens, paper put away and such stuff. The second does alot of organizing, planning, and market research; he loves getting out directories and looking for publishers. The oldest, acts as my personal editor, he's an avide reader and takes everything I writer to bed with him each night, and stays up all night readering them and making notes about what he likes and doesn't like. The next day he tells my all of his opianins and conclusions about what I had written.

My husband helps me a lot. We are alone now, since all our daughters are either married or have moved to their place of work. He takes a lot of interest in what I do and is always there to guide and help.
Is also my worst critic !!

It is good to have your family assisst you. Because then they know the value of your work. Or if you involve them they understand wgat you are doing and hopefully give you fewer distractions .
